Every keyboard has 2 types of keys.
They are:
1. shorter black keys
2. longer white keys
The reason for this is if all the keys were the same size and
color, we would have a difficult time telling which key was which!
Take a look at the picture of the keyboard below. Notice that
the shorter black keys are grouped into sets of 2's and 3's.

Sometimes these are called twins and triplets.

The white key immediately to the left of any set of twins, is
always named "C".
The musical language uses only the first 7 letters of the
alphabet!
A - B -
C - D - E - F - G
We already know
how to find "C".
The white key immediately to the right of C is named "D".
